If you are a small business and looking for a better alternative to Urban Space’s Container City work space at Trinity Buoy, the superior waterfront studio’s, just up the road at the Royal Docks might be worth considering.

“East London Small Business Centre (ELSBC), one of the UK’s leading enterprise agencies, commented today that demand for their Waterfront Studios workspace is continuing to rise despite the current economic climate and the increasing impact of the credit crunch.

ELSBC, which operates a network of affordable workspace across east London, has experienced a significant rise in new enquiries in August and September this year, at a time of year when, traditionally, enquiries are down.

Norman Grant, Waterfront Studio’s Manager for ELSBC, explains:
“When a small business decides to acquire an office or light industrial space the key questions will always be cost and flexibility. Start-up and growth businesses often have uncertainty over their future profit so it is imperative that they are not tied into long and costly leasehold arrangements.”

He continues, “Perhaps this explains why our managed office space is a smart proposition for businesses when there is speculation of an economic downturn. With the included support of a free to access on-site Business Counsellor, our entrepreneurs can certainly benefit as well as access other opportunites.”

Businesses that are thinking of taking their office out of their home or those looking to downsize could take advantage of a special deal currently available on ‘easy in easy out’ office and light industrial space at the Waterfront Studios in E16. ELSBC have a variety of combinations to choose from, ranging from desk space and shared office accommodation to units accommodating up to 10 people.

These modern offices are situated next to Royal Victoria Docks on the doorstep of Canary Wharf, with excellent transport links and close to the Excel Centre.

Understanding and recognising the most upcoming locations to operate within, along with excellent local knowledge, has been the key to the success of ELSBC’s business, which this year is celebrating 30 years of supporting Small & Medium Enterprises across East London.

“Many tenants obtain new clients from other businesses operating within the Waterfront Studios, while others even create joint ventures together.”

So, from the well located Waterfront Studios, in Newham, to fashionable Brick Lane in Tower Hamlets, ELSBC has built a reputation for offering highly flexible, competitive, tailor made workspace to meet the needs of small businesses within East London.

Call Norman Grant today on 020 7476 8877 or email normang@goeast.org for a free, no obligation quote & perhaps arrange a viewing to see these great units for yourself.”

“The main reason for the closure of the London Docks was Containerisation, which made the large workforces of the docks obsolete. Instead, the boxes are collected by the automated port at Tilbury. Within Trinity Buoy Wharf is ‘Container City’, where the boxes that decimated the London working class become a fun and imaginative urban living solution for young creatives”

The Red Bull Air Race World Series will bring the world’s best pilots to the UK to battle for the supremacy of the skies just metres above the river Thames and only feet away from Trinity Buoy Wharf.

Tenants of TBW and their friends have been invited to the informal viewing area outside The Riverside Building at TBW, where they will have a front row seat to all the action.

However members of the general public will need to acquire tickets from Red Bull organisers, as security at Trinity Buoy Wharf will be tight with no access without specific invitation from Urban Space Management or a tenant.
